Discover how to tap into your natural resources and skills to better cope with stress, pain, and illness. This course is taught by a certified instructor who ensures a secure and encouraging atmosphere through:2-hour live class sessions every week and a silent retreat for six hours.
Structured guidance in both formal and informal meditation practices for MBSR.
Mindful yoga and gentle stretching exercises.
The chance to have one-on-one sessions with instructors during the course.

Meet Our MBSR Certified Instructor:
Ann-Marie Bowman is a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction meditation guide and an experienced, licensed Mental Health Professional based in Fort Collins, CO. She specializes in anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and PTSD. In addition to her private practice, Ann-Marie also works as an oncology counselor at the UCHealth Northern Colorado Cancer Center.

Is MBSR good for my medical condition?
MBSR has been scientifically shown to be an effective complement to a wide variety of medical and psychological conditions.
Both the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Society of Integrative Oncology (SIO) recommend meditation as part of a multidisciplinary approach to reduce stress, depression, and mood disturbance and improve cancer patients' quality of life. The American Heart Association also recommends meditation as a lifestyle tool to help reduce heart disease risk.
Do I need a medical doctor referral? In most cases, you do not need a medical doctor referral to be able to attend an MBSR course.
Will my health insurance pay for the MBSR course? Not currently.
Do I need to have meditation or yoga experience before the course? No.

Is mindfulness compatible with my religious faith? MBSR was developed in a way that is accessible to all people regardless of their religious traditions or beliefs.
What is your cancellation/refund policy? Our class sizes are capped to facilitate a more intimate group dynamic, and your cancellation means that we cannot fill your seat once the course has started.

Cancellation after date of 1st class, but before date of 2nd class: tuition refund less $75 cancellation fee
Cancellation after date of 3rd Class: no refunds given
